Failed to watch The Imaginarium of Dr. Parnassus today, since we got there just on time and there was one seat left in the theatre. ): I think we're trying to watch it on Friday night instead, I'm pretty excited. It looks great :)

Also, tried to learn the Push It dance from Glee with Bernice today. Kurt's hip-thrusting is apparently too fast for us to keep up with, ahem ahem.

Brothers

Caught Brothers today with Yiling and Debbie and got reminded that this will be the last day we'll be in the same school. It's going to be very different not seeing all my friends everyday and going recess with them and sitting next to them ): But in any case, I really enjoyed Brothers, thought it was pretty well done. Jake Gyllenhaal and Toby Maguire were both really good in the movie. :) Jake Gyllenhaal, once again, was beyond gorgeous. One day I will have to re-watch Brokeback Mountain.

I've been waiting for a call from the Raffles orientation group leader since 3p.m., I seem to be one of the very few left that haven't been called. Freaking the hell out ):

(Ahem not that I'm actually suggesting they get Jonas on Glee, but I think that Kurt's boyfriend should dress like this.)

iTunes

I am finally updating my iTunes after my mom deleted all the songs off the HP laptop quite a while ago. It is so much faster doing it on the iMac. Can't believe I wasted so much time doing it on the laptop. x.x My biggest issue now is that by ripping my songs in Apple Loseless, roughly 950 songs translates to just under 20GB. I really should have bought the 64GB iPod touch. I think I'm going to have to start rotating albums.

Movies

Caught My One And Only in the cinemas today. Logan Lerman seems to be in every movie I watch (because I just watched Gamer last Thursday and I'm looking forward to Percy Jackson). I thought it was okay, nothing amazing but I wouldn't say I wasted time watching it either. I loved every single outfit Renee Zellweger wore though, so elegant and beautiful.

While I was out, I also bought the Les Choristes DVD. Watching it brings back so many good memories. I first downloaded it in the midst of the Sec 3 end of year exams. I know I was supposed to be quite stressed but I still found time to watch the movie anyway. (I seem to be quite relaxed when I'm doing the exams, as compared to when I'm preparing for them. I also seem to love all the movies I pick up during the exam period. For the O Levels it was A Hard Day's Night, which I adore as well.) I loved the movie's music so much I bought the soundtrack x.x

It's truly remarkable how music is so intimately entwined with memories. Jason Mraz's We Sing. We Dance. We Steal Things. will always remind me of a holiday in Thailand because I listened to it extensively and exclusively there. Just like how Les Choristes reminds me of the Sec 3 exams. The computer I downloaded the movie on was still new then and I remember trying to watch it despite the glare of the beautiful sunlight streaming in from the sun roof causing reflections on the glossy computer screen. I also remember being amazed at the colour and beauty of Jean-Baptiste Maunier's eyes and the beauty and clarity of his voice. It's a good memory though, I always like doing the exams themselves, it's cathartic for me and I always get excited at the thought of finishing them. The first thing I did after every exam was to rush home and watch Les Choristes on the computer. Especially those that ended at 10a.m., all I did was watch Les Choristes and re-read Harry Potter until 6p.m. and then study until midnight. Genius, eh? ;)

I can't believe school is starting again. It seems like the holidays just went by in a flash, but recently I've been feeling disillusioned and aimless. I need to go back to school. I always stress myself too much, but I also am happier because the hard work I put in reaps rewards (ahem like how my O Level results got me the iMac, an incredibly expensive dinner and quite a bit in cash ;), I get to hang around my friends all day for most of the week and I seem to be able to appreciate the spare time I have to indulge in all my obsessions. I have a feeling I'll be stressed beyond belief in JC but I'm pretty sure I'll have a blast as well. I guess I'll find out in a couple of days.

iMac

Sadly, didn't get the 27" one, but the 21.5" one is pretty too :) It just gave me a fright since it started hanging when I wanted to log out of my account. I need to change the short name, but perhaps another day, when I feel more comfortable with using the iMac.

Chicago

Finally got round to watching Chicago and Terminator Salvation. I liked Chicago enough to consider watching it at the Esplanade (if I can find the money, that is). Terminator Salvation wasn't half as bad as I thought it would be. Ahem Bale and Sam Worthington did not contribute to my appreciation of the movie. ;) Anton Yelchin was adorable too. The line "I haven't earned it yet" was so poignantly sad and in a strange way, I found that scene really beautiful.

Also, went to Crystal's house to watch District 9 and Gamer yesterday. I thought District 9 was wonderful! Abii, Crystal and Yiling all found it too slow and disgusting but I thought the pace was great and I enjoyed the emotional rollercoaster. Plus I liked the use of the news reports. Gamer I didn't like. The colours were pretty but other than that I didn't find it nice. Seeing Michael C. Hall as anything but Dexter was weird too.

We also watched Glee at Crystal's house. I remember when I first heard about Glee, a very very long time ago. I saw a picture of Cory Monteith on Perez Hilton. There was very very little on Glee on Wiki, since it was very new then. Recently I realised that the Glee DVD was released, but only the first 13 episodes. Thanks Fox. I don't think I've ever watched any other TV show on cable before. House I watched 2 episodes and bought both Season 1 and 3 together. Watched an episode or two of Brothers & Sisters before getting the DVD (in part thanks to Prison Break --> Wentworth Miller --> Luke MacFarlane). But other than that... Since I refuse to buy only half of Season 1, this will be the first TV show I'm watching on cable. I thought the pilot was okay. Kinda rushed, but Kurt's Marc J jacket and Mr. Cellophane were flipping awesome. Some lines were lame as hell though.

I'm listening to Robert Plant & Allison Krauss's Raising Sand right now and it's great. Just beautiful harmonized musical brillance. I love both their voices an they sound gorgeous together. So much love :)
