I tried to organise a meeting at my house yesterday, but it failed because Brenda had to go hiking at Bukit Timah with her family, Eunice had a council nominee meeting, Crystal had her mahjong showdown and Debbie ended choir too late. So in the end Abii came at 10.30a.m., and we met up with Yiling around 2.15p.m. But it still nice to see them! :) Abii and I creeped facebook then watched Glee. Felt hungry so we went to AMK Hub to find food (and to go check out the super hot guy Bernice saw who worked at Polar Cakes, but he wasn't there ): ), and then Yiling smsed us to tell us she was hungry and wanted to meet up for lunch in 45 minutes. So I decided to go to 313 to find a cardigan, where I procured the red and white striped tee from Zara and got a cardigan from Uniqlo :) Came home to take pictures in our full uniforms~

I bought a cardigan because I was freezing during GP and cardigans look really cute with the collar of the blouse :)

I'm starting to enjoy my class more and more :) I'm actually pretty excited to do the PW getting-to-know-you worksheet, it seems quite interesting. (Except for the 11th commandment one, since I don't really know/follow the 10 commandments already.) I feel like I should be as honest as possible, which is weird because most of the time I bullshit my way through these things ahem ahem. I like my PW tutor, he seems nice :) I wonder how we get assigned our groups. It's pretty exciting but scary at the same time.

I hope I get into Guitar Ensemble. Even though One Earth seems interesting (and One Earth/French Connection is slack and only 2 days), I think I might really enjoy Guitar Ensemble. Whatever the case, I hope I like whatever CCA I end up in. I know only too well that CCA can make or break the entire school experience.

I need to start applying suncreen on my face

Take 5 reminded me of how much I liked Australia's beaches. (Sea spray! Fine soft sand! Beautiful large waves! Hot blond Australian surfer dudes!) I rushed off the moment it ended with Yiling (since Brenda G reached at 11.45a.m. and we ended at 12.30p.m. :/) to meet Brenda G and Crystal to watch Percy Jackson! :) We've been talking about the movie since last year, but the book was way better in my opinion. Walked around while exchanging anecdotes about our school lives, then met up with Abii to have dinner at Marche. (Crystal and Yiling left in the middle for piano and French lessons respectively.)

It feels weird to say "my school" instead of "our school" or even just "school". ): I miss everyone terribly, it's ridiculous. It just feels right to be with them, kind of like natural order is restored. I haven't spoken, laughed or enjoyed myself so much since school started. If I had a more vivid imagination and let myself believe it, school might have felt like some weird social experiment we're in to see how we react in a completely new environment without our friends. I wish we all were in the same school/same og/same class taking the same subject combination. Although I know I can't expect new people to be as familiar as my old friends, it doesn't make it any easier.

I miss being able to say outrageously pervertic things. Now I think back and go, "Shit, I can't/shouldn't have said that", whilst previously I would have loudly proclaimed, "I WANT TO WATCH AMERICAN PSYCHO TO SEE BALE'S SHOWER SCENE" (mainly to Abii) without thinking twice. I just hope this adjustment period passes quickly with minimal pain.

Last weekend before the studying finally starts

Caught Dr. Parnassus today at The Cathay, I didn't like it as much as I thought I would. To be honest, I was slightly confused towards the end, and the ending wasn't that good anyway. The special effects were beyond stunning though, and Lily Cole is etherally beautiful. (FYI House casting directors, this is how a supermodel should look like, not some fugly 30 year old trying to pass off as a 15 year old.)

I also bought new school shoes, but because of the black-based/white-based constraint, I only got a pair of black Converse. Boooring. ): I liked the suede Puma shoes and the Sergio Rossi/Puma shoes as well, but I think I would cry if I stepped on chewing gum (which seems to happen quite a bit in RI :/) considering how pretty they are and how much they cost. I think my school uniform looks much better now that I've shortened the skirt one more fold. I also think that the blouse looks quite ugly all poufed out. And my blouse is way too large at the sides, I wonder if I should alter that as well...

There were A Single Man posters at The Cathay! That movie looks AMAZING, I hope I can watch it. Please don't be R21 ):
